Rockley International has been working in partnership with the Turkish Yachting Federation to train a new generation of Windsurf Instructors.
Rockley Trainer, Tim Cross, delivered the international standard Windsurf Instructor training course at the Ulra Yacht Club in Izmir during February. All candidates on the course successfully gained their TYF Level 4 Windsurf Instructor certificate. The course marks the start of the second phase in the ongoing partnership between Rockley and the TYF aimed at increasing windsurf participation.
Rockley has been working in with the Turkish Yachting Federation since 2009 to aid them in the development of grassroots windsurf participation and to train their current coaches to an International standard. The Windsurf Instructor training and training syllabus developments undertaken by Rockley in Turkey are inline with the International Sailing Federations “Recognised Training” accreditation standards.
